Hot!!! Hot!!! Hot!!!

A smoldering 112 degree weather... yes I would say it was pretty hot. We went away just for a night to Rancho Las Palmas (near Palm Springs) this past weekend. It was a gorgeous resort with a fun pool area complete with a splash zone and my favorite... the lazy river. The kids had a blast and so did we. Although, I think Mike and I were more worn out after a day and a half here than spending days at Disneyworld. I guess 10 hours a day in the pool can wear on you.
I had a lot of fun with the kids, especially since I am out of the stage where a baby is eating the sand. Ella is almost two and it is really interesting to not be pregnant or have a newborn to deal with. It is so much easier for us to get up and go... and we are enjoying every minute of it. I absolutely love these kids. Cam is getting so big he can do most things on his own. I don't worry about him going down the water slide or being a little further away from me in the pool. Owen is very loving to both his brother and sister. He is getting much better about going down the slide and being around the water (although I think he needs some more swim lessons). And, Ella man o' man. This little girl is full of spunk. She is cute (and she knows it) she is intelligent and she is always HAPPY. I mean super happy all day long just like her dad. I love them all so much. And, I am so grateful that I get to sneak away and just focus on them. We are very lucky.
